Message from Pearce Community Center...

March 22, 2020

Dear Pearce Community Center Member,

On behalf of our Board of Directors, our Managers and our Employees, we want you, our valued member, to know that we are in this together. We have stood by each other through the best of times and the worst of times. Now, as we all navigate this uncertain time together, we want you to know that when the day comes we can resume our normal lives, we will be there for you. Our fitness center, our fitness classes, our pool, our youth programs, our sport leagues, our senior gathering place will all be there ready and waiting for you. Our staff will continue to work for you during this to time keep our pool regulated, clean our building top to bottom, provide at home fitness routines and fun activities and workouts for our youth to do. Why? Because you are worth it, Pearce is worth it and our community is worth it.

We recognize our Pearce family: members, employees and community at large, will be financially impacted by the situation we are in today. Because our members are worth it, effective April 1, 2020, we will be freezing all current memberships and no additional membership/activity fees will be paid to or collected from Pearce at that time. This freeze will remain in effect until we are able to safely reopen the facility. Due to the support of our loyal members over the years, generous financial donations, our fiscally responsible leadership, and because our employees are worth it, we will be able to continue to pay ALL of our employees at this time.

If you wish to still contribute, by not participating in the freeze or by a flat donation to Pearce Community Center during our shut down please contact our Executive Director, Maggie Butterfield, at, 309-274-4209 ext 102, or mail a check directly to Pearce, 610 W. Cedar St., Chillicothe, IL 61523. We look forward to the day when our members will be utilizing our fitness center and pool to embrace their health and wellness, when our seniors are gathering and our youth is thriving in our programs. Until then, follow us on Facebook, tune in to our YouTube channel and check your emails for updates.
