What is a Chamber Ambassador?
Ambassadors are the link between the Chamber of Commerce and the community at large. They represent the Chillicothe community to the Chamber and are goodwill "ambassadors" for the Chamber. As such, they project a positive image for the company they represent and for the Chamber. Ambassadors perform a wide variety of duties, but their main function is to help promote the Chamber of Commerce and make Chamber events successful and enjoyable for everyone!

Who can be Chamber Ambassadors and why should I become one?
Anyone can be an Ambassador, but we especially encourage employees of Chamber Businesses to think about joining us. It is an opportunity for you and your employer to be in the spotlight.

The local newspapers photograph each ribbon cutting for new businesses. This gives your company free publicity as a supporter of new businesses coming to the area and of your Chamber of Commerce.

By volunteering at Chamber events and attending the monthly luncheons, your business is always involved and kept up to date on what is going on within the community and surrounding area. This is also a great opportunity to have fun and network with other movers and shakers in the community.

It takes teamwork to help create jobs and bring new business to the community. By serving as an Ambassador, you are showing you are a part of that team to infuse new life into the local economy and make our Chamber and its members successful!

What will I do as an Ambassador?
As our social liaisons, 1) Ambassadors promote the Chamber in the community, 2) help the Chamber board and staff host special events, 3) attend periodic ribbon cuttings for new businesses, 4) attend monthly Chamber luncheon programs, 5) help welcome new residents to Chillicothe with newcomer packages, 6) and when possible volunteer with time and enthusiasm at special Chamber events such as:
*Bald Eagle Days (February)
*Chillicothe Classic Golf Outing (June)
*Chilli Corn Fest (July)
*Citywide Open house and Garage sale (July)
*HLC Canoe and Kayak Jaunt (August)
*Merchant Trick or Treat (October)
*Christmas Parade (November)
